Dalhousie is relatively a less explored gem of Himachal. Due to space crunch the main town areas is generally jammed with traffic which is a big downer. But if you move out a bit, you are in for a treat of beautiful views. The Dalhousie Dharamshala road specially is extremely scenic.
Dalhousie has 2 main hubs – GandhiChowk & SubhashChowk. Gandhichowk is more happening with the walking shopping street which has lots of street shopping and food joints. Keep walking straight on the walking shopping street and it leads to a 2 km walk on GaramSadak which leads to Subhash Chowk. Garam sadak and Thandisadak are 2 connecting roads between Subhash Chowk and Gandhi Chowk. Both the chowks have a church each. The 2 sadaks also have some beautiful Buddhist murals painted on the mountain rocks.
One more spot popular for adventure activities like ziplining burmabridge, trekking, etc is Panchpula. It also some small waterfalls which add to its beauty. This place again has lots of food joints and window shopping options.
Dalhousie also has few other attractions like Khajiar, kalatop, Chamera Lake & Chamba which are highly dependent on road conditions and might or might not be covered due to uncontrollable natural calamities like Landslides, etc.
